Black Ice came out Oct/08. What do you think AcDc's next move will be?

Will they....

Put out a Live DVD of the Black Ice tour.
Put out a new CD of new songs.

I say they will do both. I can't belive that AcDc will wait another 8 yrs to put out new product. I perdict that they will put out a Live Dvd for 2010 and put out a new CD 2011 and then tour that, then the next CD will be 2015.

I think that people are expecting to much. Quite frankly I am just glad Black Ice got out because for awhile it wasn't looking good.

Wrong. Very wrong. This tour has been massive. They are playing fetivals next summer. You will not get a new album and tour in 2011. and when new material is released there will be no big tours. This is the last. they will play a few big shows, but Black Ice was the last proper AC/DC tour.

i also think that ACDC will do the major festivals next year and the next dvd(cd) will be like donnington 1991. lots of camaras, pre and post show interviews with the band and some of the road crew and fans. and knowing acdc maybe some kind of meet and greet competition for a limited amount of winners at each major festival. Oh and the dvd will be avalible in blue ray and hd. after that i think acdc will take a rest and as a collective unit they will make the desision about what the next move will be.

I would say the DVD is a given. Nothing has been shot yet (except Paris Bercy, but that was indoors) so I'm expecting them to shoot it at one of the festivals lined up for summer 2010.

New CD? Doubt that. These days, it seems new material will be farther between each time. I could be wrong, and I would love to, but realistically I wouldn't get my hopes up.

As far as tours, I don't believe they would release a new album and not do an extensive tour (they never have) so another tour would depend on whether another album came out.

Hmm... "AC/DC: Live At Download" doesn't really have the nice ring of "Live At Donnington". Especially if they decide to go with "Live At Download 2010".

I seriously think this is it. I think they will essentially disband and we might get some post-band sets and dvd etc.. a la Beatles, Led Zeppelin.

But I don't think there will be another album and tour.

Realistically though, I figure

this tour will wrap up at the end of summer, 2010
then just like SUL there will be some one off shows

The band will sit down by late 2012 and decide, "can we drag the life support around the world?"

Assuming that they decide to go on, they will do a couple of mini tours to see how they feel traveling around all over the hill of beans

Angus and Malcolm will put their heads together spring time of 2013 and call Brian up to "come and yodel" around late summer 2013 with a december 2013 or early 2014 release. so that's about 6 years.

Mark it, I'm betting on 6 years. don't forget it.

As for a live CD &/or DVD.. who knows. It wouldn't surprise most of us. Another Bon tribute? A band documentary (no not like that nut job who wants to play Bon in a movie)?

Or they might decide that they can't handle another tour. They might just keep doing mini tours and one offs and never officially retire.

I guarantee one thing though: AC/DC will NOT release another album and then give a shitty tour. If they release a new album, they won't let us down, it'll be a full-blown and proper tour.
Come on, this is AC/DC we're talking about! They would cry foul over anything less than 100% effort, and they know that "you can't bullshit the kids."

That's just my thoughts. And although they are signed on for 2 more albums, let's focus on the current tour and the next (knock on wood) album

I heard that AcDc is putting out a Documentary about there fans. Kind of like Iron Maiden did, but the emphsis would be what does AcDc mean to fans on a Global level.
